Frequently asked questions

How do I export a WhatsApp chat?

In WhatsApp, open the chat you want to analyze, open that chat's menu, choose Export Chat, and export without media when possible. Then import the exported text or ZIP file in Riv.

What should I do if analysis fails?

Try exporting the chat again, make sure the file is not empty, and import the original export file without manually editing it. If it still fails, email the app version, device type, import source, and a short description of what happened to hello@getriv.fun.

How do subscriptions, billing, and refunds work?

App Store subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. You can view, cancel, or request a refund from Apple's subscription and purchase history settings. We can help explain where to look, but Apple handles App Store billing and refund decisions.

How do I delete my account or data?

You can delete your account and associated Riv data from inside the app. Step-by-step instructions are available on the delete account page .

Which imports does Riv support?

Riv supports WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and SMS imports where supported by the app and parser for your device and export format.
